About our timber
Warm to the touch, with grain that is different in every piece.
Every Ensemble timber cabinet handle, knob and wall hook starts as solid American white oak. We machine, hand sand and finish each one to order in Melbourne, so no two pieces share exactly the same grain or tone.
Choose from two finishes. Oak Natural Finish keeps the light, natural colour of the oak. Walnut Finish is stained and sealed to a deeper, walnut-toned colour, with the oak grain still showing through. Both have a low-sheen satin finish.
Handles come as a 40mm knob or in four bar sizes: 128mm, 160mm, 192mm and 224mm centres. Every handle is finished with a signature button detail in one of seven finishes: Brass, Aged Bronze, Brushed Copper, Brushed Steel, Gunmetal, Matte Black or Matte White. Match the button to your tapware and lighting, or choose a contrast.
Use them on kitchen drawers and doors, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, laundries and furniture.

The nature of wood
Manufactured in Melbourne from solid American white oak, each Ensemble timber handle and hook carries its own grain, tone and character.
Is each timber handle unique?
Yes. Timber is a natural material, so grain, tone and texture vary from piece to piece. No two Ensemble timber handles or hooks are exactly alike.
What is the difference between Oak Natural Finish and Walnut Finish?
Both are made from American white oak. Oak Natural Finish shows the timber’s natural light tone. Walnut Finish is stained and sealed to a deeper, walnut-toned colour, with the oak grain still visible underneath.
What sizes do timber handles come in?
A 40mm knob, and bar handles in 128mm, 160mm, 192mm and 224mm centres. Our sizing guide lists the overall length of each.
Can I use timber handles and hooks in kitchens, bathrooms and laundries?
Yes. The handles suit kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, laundries and furniture. The hooks suit bathrooms, ensuites, wardrobes, entries and laundries. In wet areas, wipe off water promptly and avoid long exposure to steam or harsh cleaning products.
How do I care for timber handles and hooks?
Wipe them with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, acidic cleaners and excess water, which can wear the sealed surface over time.
